Q: I see that the directions for PureNourish are two scoops mixed with eight to ten ounces of water and are designed to be a snack. Can I use PureNourish as a meal replacement?

A: Yes, PureNourish may be used as either a meal supplement or replacement. As a meal replacement, simply change the mix to use three scoops of PureNourish added to 8 to 12 ounces of water, almond milk, coconut milk, or even soy milk or skimmed organic milk. For some people, the original mixture using two scoops provides enough nourishment to replace a meal.

Q: Can I add anything to my PureNourish snacks or meal supplements?

A: You are free to add whole or frozen fruit to PureNourish snacks, as well as almond milk, coconut milk, skimmed milk, or soy milk (instead of water) when you make your PureNourish meal or snack supplement or replacement. In fact, there are many great recipes for PureNourish snacks available at www.ariix.com. Variety is the key to success and we encourage you to create your own recipes by experimenting with different fruits and low-glycemic additives.

Q: How can I learn if I am allergic to soy, dairy, or gluten?

A: The PureNourish snack supplements are a great way to learn if you have any major food allergies. Since PureNourish is soy-free, dairy-free, gluten-free, and GMO-free it gives you a wonderful tool to help determine if any of these major food allergies affect you. The approach is what we refer to as avoidance therapy. We would encourage you to avoid all soy, milk protein, and gluten for 4 to 6 weeks in your regular diet and use the PureNourish snack supplements as a way to give you a convenient and easy way to stay with this program. Then you need to add one of these major food groups back every 3 to 4 days to be sure that you do not have any reactions.

We recommend that you first add back soy protein into your diet. If there is no reaction after 3 to 4 days, go ahead and add back milk protein. Again, if there are no reactions, next reintroduce gluten into your diet. Even if you are unaware of any food allergies or intolerances, once you have been avoiding a particular food for 4 to 6 weeks you may experience a significant reaction when you add it back into your diet. This approach will help you identify clearly whether or not you have allergies or intolerance of soy, milk or gluten. Medical research shows that 1% of the population has what is known as Celiac Sprue or a serious reaction to gluten. However, only 5% of these patients have been diagnosed to have Celiac Sprue. Therefore, 95% of these individuals are suffering with this disease and do not have any clue why they may be suffering from the GI distress or fatigue that this disease causes. If you do have a significant reaction when you add back gluten into your diet, it is strongly recommended that you check with your doctor to see if this is just gluten intolerance or if you have any evidence of Celiac Sprue.
